a fading figure in your mind
or a picture plastered to a wall
i think of all the nights
that i lay and pray
that my love will touch you
that my mind will wake you
and i wonder if you even remember me
then i cry again
sleeping in tear stained sheets
i don't want to be
a romance that you toss away
a lover easily forgotten
